Our hotel is situated in an exceptionally convenient location in the Maxvorstadt, Munich’s university and museum district. The Fürstenstraße is a quiet street bordering on the old city centre.
In only a few minutes’ walk, you can reach the city centre as well as the most important cultural, scientific and educational institutions nearby, such as

  • the Ludwig Maximilian University,
  • the University of Technology,
  • the Bavarian State Library,
  • the Bavarian State Archives or
  • the Academy of Fine Arts and
  • the Max Planck Society next to the Hofgarten.

In particular, such important museums as

  • the Old Pinakothek,
  • the New Pinakothek,
  • the Pinakothek of Modern Art and
  • the Brandhorst Museum

are located in direct vicinity to the hotel.

Not much further away, you will find

  • the Lenbachhaus,
  • the Glyptothek,
  • the Ancient Art Collection and
  • the Haus der Kunst,
  • the new Egyptian Collection as well as
  • the University of Television and Film.

Furthermore, political institutions such as

  • the government departments for internal affairs,

In less than five minutes’ walk from the hotel, you can reach the underground station Odeonsplatz and the Feldherrnhalle which marks the entrance to Munich’s attractive pedestrian zone. From here, you have access to the

  • Residenz with the
  • Herkulessaal and the
  • Cuvilliés-Theatre and it is not much further to the
  • Opera and the
  • Maximilianstraße, Munich’s sophisticated shopping strip.

 In only app. 15 minutes you can walk from the hotel to the world-renowned

  • Hofbräuhaus and to the city centre with its square
  • Marienplatz.

Numerous galleries and book shops have been established in close vicinity to the hotel. Furthermore, the neighbourhood of the hotel boasts a wide range of restaurants offering gastronomic treats of any kind. 

If you are fond of running or long walks, the beautiful English Garden just beyond the Ludwigstraße is within easy reach. In order to get a taste of Munich nightlife, don’t miss out on the neighbouring Schwabing district.

Only 100 m down the street, on the corner to Amalienstraße, you can catch the bus line 100 which, coming from the central railway station, takes you to all museums mentioned above. The bus operates every 10 minutes during the day and every 20 minutes at night.
